Wot are the Communicators - they are a 9 piece skanking bunch of nutters that play old skool Jamaican Ska, two tone classics & new wave Ska Punk, covers & originals! With a banging back line consisting of Drums, Bass, Percussion & Keyboards! Coupled with a red hot guitar player, Razor sharp Horn section and vocals from a Fat bloke in a whistle!
With a Brass section Bad Manners would be proud of, a rock solid back line, great backing vocals and a front man that cuts the mustard not only vocally but in his skanking attitude also, The Communicators are a must see for any one that has ever worn a pair of Dr Martins or a Crombie!
Serious Ska music!
Covers by bands such as Madness, The Specials, The Beat, The Selecter & Bad Manners plus some skanked up versions of non Ska tunes! Formed in the early part of 2005 The Communicators have not hung around in hitting Ska lovers with performances up and down the country and having a right good time in doing so!
What was intended to be a bit of fun for some passionate musicians turned out from day one to be some serious music. With influences from Trojan, through two-tone to third wave ska-punk, these guys can play anything - and they do! And it swings.
